More and more universities and colleges welcome and encourage applications from homeschoolers. We’ll help you understand the process of applying for college and the special needs of homeschoolers, including preparing transcripts, entering college early, and working with institutions that may not be used to unconventional learning models.
Front Range Christian offers homeschool options for K-12 students. Elementary and junior high students (K-8) may participate in a one day per week homeschool enrichment program. Senior high students (9th-12th) may choose from any core or elective courses (on a space available basis). Front Range Christian School also offers a complete umbrella program for families desiring assistance with record keeping, graduation and more.
This homeschool curriculum from Classical Conversations is intended for use in Classical Conversations communities across the United States and the world. It offers the three phases of classical education -- the grammar stage, the dialectic phase, and the rhetoric stage.
This work looks at contemporary Black homeschooling as a form of resistance among single Black mothers, exploring each mother’s experience and perspective in deciding to homeschool and developing their practice. It faces the many issues that plague the education of Black children in America, including discipline disproportionality, frequent special education referrals, low expectations in the classroom, and the marginalization of Black parents. Most importantly, this work challenges stereotypical characterizations of who homeschools and why.
